Matte, Matter, Mattest

While I'm now starting to explore foundations with lighter, more dewy consistencies, every time I apply a matte foundation, I remember that nothing blurs imperfections better. While my skin has improved leaps and bounds from high school where I had very oily, acne prone skin, I still look at my skin in the same way, analyzing every small bump and as much as I love my freckles (ok so the only time I've ever said I loved my freckles was when someone without freckles said they loved my freckles), I've always felt they've contributed to way I've perceived how imperfect my skin looks. Matte foundation can be exactly the veil I need when I don't want the world to see my real skin, however, given my skin's transformation (it's now pretty normal), I don't use matte foundations on a daily basis.

A Feminine Indigo Haul

Last week was the Indigo Friends and Family Sale and it was the perfect excuse to start on my Christmas shopping and get myself some treats for a very successful semester. Also there was a bit of theme running through my purchases: pink and feminine.

These Souvenirs (and Lost Luggage)

This blog with be a weekly record of my "lifestyle". How pretentious does that make me sound?
I began blogging a couple years ago under the name Every Flavour Sweets but as much as I love baking, it became quite tedious to always be baking a new recipe and to always be baking something which could be "blogged" about. Sometimes there just isn't enough to say (or it wasn't enough for foodgawker).
This blog will hopefully encompass more aspects of my life than just baking: books, university, skincare and cosmetics, as well as food. What I enjoyed about blogging was that it helped me practice my writing skills which are a little dull after studying math and economics for three year as well as introducing me to photography (though I wouldn't go so far as to call myself a photographer).  And my hope is that some people will enjoy reading my blog as much as I enjoy creating it.
